Why do I have to do the cards in order?

Normally I would say that students can study the cards in any order they wish - that would be the ideal situation. But this is an online course and it's very difficult to keep track of a student if they are jumping from one card to the next. I tried it and it didn't work.

 

Besides which, the tarot has a natural progression through the cards and suits and it becomes easier to understand if you take them one by one in the order they are presented.

 

There is only one exception to this - if you are taking both the beginners and advanced (research) courses you might find it useful to work on the symbolism assignment from both courses at the same time as doing so will help you with both assignments.
