The origins of the course

The tarot course was developed and written by Annie (also known as Polgara on many spiritual sites around the internet) in 1988.

 

From 1990 the course was taught in colleges in England and then from 1999 onwards the course was taught in online classrooms on the Worldwide Mediums and Psychics site.

 

Transferring the course to an online format

I have had so many requests to restart the tarot course in the chat rooms, but I was never satisfied with that method of teaching - one hour in a chat room with a dozen or more students did not take into account the varying abilities of the student or the level they were at with their tarot studies. There was never enough time to discuss individual students needs or answer all the questions that were asked.

 

Due to my discomfort and the obvious drawbacks of this form of teaching I searched the internet for a better way to present the course. After months of searching I finally found a system used by the Open University and in April 2003 transferred the tarot course to that system and we are now in our eighth year online (2011). It allows for more in-depth study by the individual student and at the same time allows each person to interact and discuss both with the tutor and their fellow students.

 

Over the past few years the course has developed with student input and feedback and we now believe we have a course that is worth boasting about. But don't ask me - ask the other students.
